5/31- Islands and Ocean Walk

It was great to spend the morning walking the Islands and Ocean Center’s nature trail with a handful of parents and kiddos.  The trails are well maintained, have beautiful views, are in town and just the right distance for little feet.  We walked on the main trail to the boardwalk, out to Bishops beach, and looped around with a stop at Two Sisters.  There was a light breeze down at the beach, but didn’t phase the kids as they were too busy climbing on logs or throwing rocks.  Most of the kids walked all the way to Two Sisters and enjoyed baked goods and additional play time in the rocks.  There were four little babes that were in carriers and seemed to enjoy the ride as well.  We plan to explore more kid friendly hikes in and around Homer.  Hope you join us again.
