3/22- Calvin and Coyle Hike
It was a bluebird morning and such a fantastic way to start the day. The trail was nice and packed down and easy to walk on for the kids. The ages of kids ranged from 3 months to 4 years. They took turns being pulled in the sled and enjoyed spotting the trail markers on the trees. We didn’t do the entire trail as some of the kids wanted to turn back, but it was still a great time in the outdoors. It is about the kids and letting them enjoy it, sometimes that means cutting it short. I think everyone ends up happier in the end. After the hike, we sipped hot cocoa and munched on snacks in the glorious sun shine.
Plan
Plan to start walking at 10:30. This trail is not stroller friendly, but I am sure sleds will come in handy when and if kids tire out. This will be an easy going walk and the pace may be different for some, depending on if kids are in a carrier or walking. On the walks I would like people to RSVP so we can start at the same time, and I am all for the buddy system. If you plan on going, please RSVP in the comment section.
Directions: Go out East end road about a mile and turn right on Mariner. The trail is at the end of the road where there is a small parking lot.
