The temperature was nice and warm at 30 degrees with a light wind, and we could see the bay. It looked like the park was well played on yesterday, which made it nice for us! The kids appeared to enjoy the morning with sledding, swinging, climbing and sliding! Good times!
Excuse the iphone quality photos;)
PlanIt's a go!
2/29-So Karen Hornaday is much more packed down than the last time I went. We went this afternoon and I wasn't sinking to my knees. Although, I decided to put my snow shoes on to break a trail, and to simply make it easier hauling two. It was definitely even more packed down after we left, but it is still snowing. We shall see tomorrow. We will plan on going unless it is blowing snow and nasty. I also have another pair of snow shoes (they aren't huge and bulky) if someone wants to use them. Otherwise just dress for the snow and bring a sled if you have one.
02/27-I figure we may as well try and embrace the snow because I don't think it's going to give us a break any time soon. I will try to make Thursday a sled day, but I am going to go to the parks later to see if it is packed down better than before. If anyone happens to read this before Thursday...any ideas for sledding besides the parks and schools?
